Precision in gift, estate & trust compliance

FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

A focused overview of the firm's services, working relationships, professional boundaries, and engagement process.

What services does GET Compliance provide?

GET Compliance focuses exclusively on gift, estate, and trust tax compliance and related advisory matters. Services include federal gift tax, estate tax, and fiduciary accounting & income tax reporting, post-death compliance coordination, technical support for discrete compliance issues, and tax agency notices and representation. We also often review prior year returns. Services are managed through an organized intake process and ongoing communication through completion. The firm does not operate as a generalist tax practice. Its work is intentionally concentrated on complex wealth transfer and fiduciary reporting matters.

Who are your typical clients?

GET Compliance works with: Executors and trustees, high-net-worth individuals and families, estate planning and probate attorneys, wealth advisors and family offices, CPA firms seeking specialized support. Many engagements involve collaboration with professional advisors rather than direct-to-consumer engagements.

What makes GET Compliance different from a traditional CPA firm?

GET Compliance is intentionally narrow in scope. Rather than offering a broad range of tax services, the firm concentrates solely on gifts, estates, and trusts. This focus allows for sustained technical depth, disciplined process, and a high level of attention in complex compliance matters.

Do you work directly with attorneys and advisors?

Yes. GET Compliance frequently works with and through attorneys, wealth advisors, and CPA firms as a specialized compliance resource. The firm is designed to complement existing advisory relationships, not replace them. Coordination, responsiveness, and respect for professional roles are core to how engagements are handled.

Do you provide legal advice?

No. GET Compliance does not provide legal advice. The firm focuses on federal tax compliance and technical advisory matters and works collaboratively with attorneys on legal issues and state-law matters.

Do you provide fiduciary services?

No. However, we do work with non-professional trustees, in coordination with other service providers, to help them understand their role.

How do we get started?

The first step is to submit an inquiry describing the matter and any relevant timing considerations. GET Compliance will review the information and follow up to discuss whether the engagement is a good fit.
